Before You Purchase:

Every piece created through our Custom Spark Builder or Spark Studio is handcrafted specifically for you.

This includes:

• Custom Spark Builder creations (online)

• Permanent Jewelry chains

• Spark pieces with clasps

• Charms

• Connectors

• Cord pieces

• Personalized and custom-designed jewelry

Because every piece is custom-sized, personalized, and made-to-order, all purchases are FINAL SALE and are not eligible for cancellation, return, exchange, refund, or store credit once production has begun.

By completing your purchase, you acknowledge that your jewelry is being made specifically for you and agree to this policy.

Repairs may be available depending on the nature of the issue and applicable warranty coverage.

Design & Production

Every Spark piece is individually handcrafted by our LAJ Spark Technicians and Production Team.

Due to the handmade nature of each design:

• Slight variations in sizing, spacing, proportions, placement, and overall appearance are normal.

• Final sizing is approximate and may vary depending on chain style and selected components.

• Charms, connectors, stones, and decorative elements will be positioned in the manner deemed most secure, balanced, and aesthetically appropriate.

• Digital previews and product renderings are for illustration only and may differ slightly from the finished piece.

Natural gemstones, birthstones, pearls, and other genuine materials naturally vary in colour, shape, texture, size, and appearance. These natural characteristics make every piece unique and are not considered manufacturing defects.

Because some chains and components are not structurally compatible, certain charm, connector, or add-on combinations available in-store may not be available within the online Custom Spark Builder to ensure long-term durability and wearability.

If you have special requests regarding sizing, placement, engraving, or design, please include detailed instructions in the Order Notes at checkout. While we will always do our best to accommodate requests, they cannot be guaranteed unless confirmed by our team.

Materials & Metal Care

Your design may include solid gold, gold fill, gold vermeil, sterling silver, or other specialty materials.

Each material has unique wear characteristics, colour tones, aging patterns, and care requirements.

For the most consistent appearance and longevity, we do not recommend mixing different metal types within the same design, particularly between solid gold, gold fill, and vermeil.

Wearability Notice

Spark jewelry is designed for everyday wear; however, certain charms, connectors, stones, and decorative elements are naturally more delicate than chain-only designs.

Where applicable, a Delicate Item Notice will appear within the Custom Spark Builder.

For maximum longevity, we may recommend wearing delicate custom pieces as necklaces whenever possible, as bracelets experience significantly greater movement, friction, and impact.

Charms, connectors, stones, pearls, and decorative add-on components are not repairable if damaged through normal wear, impact, bending, stretching, pulling, or accidental breakage.

Spark Studio & Permanent Jewelry

Spark Studio offers fine-welded permanent jewelry designed for continuous wear.

Each piece is custom-sized specifically for the individual customer and is therefore final sale.

Before you leave your appointment, our Spark Technicians perform strength and quality testing to ensure your chain is securely welded and ready for everyday wear.

Complimentary re-sparks are available for all LAJ permanent jewelry chains. The original order number must be provided at the time of service.

Spark Warranty

What the Warranty Covers

The Spark Warranty covers:

• Manufacturing defects in materials

• Manufacturing defects in workmanship

• Structural failures resulting from a verified manufacturing defect during the warranty period

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

The Spark Warranty does not cover:

• Normal wear and tear

• Plating wear or fading

• Tarnishing

• Improper care or storage

• Exposure to chlorine, chemicals, or harsh cleaning products

• Damage caused by impact, bending, stretching, pulling, friction, or accidental breakage

• Lost charms, connectors, stones, pearls, or decorative add-ons

• Spark pieces fitted with clasps

Warranty Coverage

First 30 Days

If your permanent jewelry chain is lost within the first 30 days due to a verified manufacturing defect, LAJ will provide one complimentary replacement chain.

After 30 Days – Up to One Year

If your chain is lost or experiences an issue after the first 30 days and within one year of purchase, our Customer Care Team may offer a discounted replacement.

Each claim is reviewed individually to determine the most appropriate resolution.

Please note:

• Charms, connectors, stones, pearls, and decorative add-ons are not covered under the Spark Warranty.

• Spark pieces fitted with clasps are not covered under the Spark Warranty.

Caring for Your Spark Jewelry

Spark jewelry is designed for continuous wear, but proper care will help maximize its lifespan.

We recommend avoiding:

• Chlorinated swimming pools

• Hot tubs

• Harsh chemicals

• Cleaning products

• Beauty products that may affect metal surfaces

Chlorine and chemicals can weaken metals over time and accelerate wear.

If you regularly swim in chlorinated water, we recommend either:

• Having your chain professionally cut at a jump ring and re-welded afterward, or

• Adding a clasp so the piece can be removed during swimming.

Custom Spark Builder Terms & Conditions

By accessing, designing, or placing an order through the Custom Spark Builder, you acknowledge and agree that:

1. All Custom Spark Builder and Spark Studio pieces are personalized, made-to-order products and are final sale.

2. Orders cannot be cancelled, returned, exchanged, refunded, or converted to store credit once production has begun.

3. Handmade jewelry will naturally vary in sizing, spacing, placement, proportions, and appearance. These variations are not defects.

4. Natural gemstones, pearls, birthstones, and genuine materials naturally vary and are not considered defects.

5. Product images, previews, mockups, and renderings are illustrative only and may differ slightly from the final handcrafted piece.

6. LAJ reserves the right to arrange design elements in the manner deemed most secure, balanced, and aesthetically appropriate.

7. Certain chain styles may not be compatible with every charm, connector, clasp, or design option.

8. Different metal types may age, wear, and appear differently over time.

9. Charms, connectors, stones, pearls, and decorative add-ons are delicate by nature, are not repairable if damaged through wear or accidental breakage, and are not covered under the Spark Warranty.

10. Special requests submitted during checkout are not guaranteed unless expressly confirmed by LAJ.

11. Complimentary re-sparks apply to LAJ permanent jewelry chains only and require the original order number.

12. All purchases remain subject to LAJ's Final Sale Policy, Spark Warranty, and Jewelry Care Guidelines.

13. By completing checkout, you confirm that you have reviewed your design selections and understand that minor variations resulting from handcrafted production and natural materials do not constitute manufacturing defects or products materially different from those ordered.
